Trump’s Tariffs Cost PA Households Over $1,700 Since “Liberation Day”

PENNSYLVANIA - Affordable Pennsylvania today launched several billboards throughout the Commonwealth calling out Congressmen Ryan Mackenzie, Rob Bresnahan, and Scott Perry for their support of illegal tariffs and calling on them to fight for constituents’ refunds. These billboards can be seen throughout Northeastern PA, Southcentral PA, and the Lehigh Valley and the Poconos.

Despite 6 in 10 Americans disapproving of Trump’s tariffs and consumers bearing the brunt of these price hikes, Congressmen Ryan Mackenzie, Rob Bresnahan, and Scott Perry have supported them at every opportunity, voting multiple times over the last year to keep the president’s illegal tariffs in place. Shortly before the SCOTUS decision, all three congressmen voted to ban all challenges related to tariffs until July and continue tariffs on Canada, Pennsylvania’s biggest international trade partner.

Experts estimate that February’s Supreme Court’s tariff ruling made over $175 billion in US revenue subject to refunds. An estimated $5.5 billion of that $175 billion was paid by companies in Pennsylvania, the equivalent of the state sales tax rising from 6% to 8.5%.
