The Pennsylvania Congressmen Voted on a CR That Prioritizes Billionaire Tax Breaks Over PA Families’ Care
September 19, 2025
PENNSYLVANIA - Today, Congressmen Ryan Mackenzie, Rob Bresnahan, and Scott Perry voted for a measure that continues their harmful health care cuts from the Republican Tax Law, raises health care costs for working families, and would leave 15 million Americans uninsured.
“Congressmen Mackenzie, Bresnahan, and Perry should be fighting for a budget that lowers health care costs and protects Pennsylvanians’ coverage. Instead, they are continuing to prioritize the wealthy elite over working families in our Commonwealth,” said Rachele Fortier, executive director of Affordable Pennsylvania. “Republicans control both chambers of Congress and the White House - if the funding deadline comes and goes without a budget, it’s because these Congressmen decided tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations were more important than the families they represent. We call on Congressmen Mackenzie, Bresnahan, and Perry to extend health care tax credits, reverse their Medicaid cuts, and deliver a budget that serves working people in Pennsylvania.”
