The Ad Highlights How Mackenzie Has Voted for Higher Costs for Working Pennsylvanians

October 21, 2025

Lehigh Valley, PENNSYLVANIA - Today, Affordable Pennsylvania launched a new digital ad calling out Congressman Ryan Mackenzie for voting to raise costs on working Pennsylvanians, calling on him to reverse his harmful health care cuts and end the government shutdown.

The ad, “Everything”, highlights Congressman Mackenzie’s support for Trump’s extreme tariffs that are jacking up prices on working Pennsylvanians, his vote to gut Medicaid in the Republican Tax Law to pay for bigger billionaire tax breaks, and his role in allowing the ongoing federal government shutdown. This shutdown comes after Congressman Mackenzie voted for a measure that failed to reverse these devastating health care cuts or permanently extend health care tax credits that benefit 21,000 of his constituents.

“While families in the Lehigh Valley worry about how they will be able to put food on the table or pay their bills, Congressman Mackenzie continues to support measures that are jacking up prices on his constituents,” said Rachele Fortier, executive director of Affordable Pennsylvania. “We call on Congressman Mackenzie to reverse these extreme health care cuts, work towards lower costs for working Pennsylvanians, and end the government shutdown.”

VO: Everything is more expensive.

Cars, groceries, and health care.

Congressman Ryan Mackenzie voted to support Trump’s tariffs that are increasing the price of nearly everything.

And on top of all that, he voted to raise health care costs.

Now Republicans in Congress are going to make health care even more expensive, doubling our premiums.

And they shut down the government to make it happen.

Tell Ryan Mackenzie: stop increasing our costs and end the government shutdown.
