April is Medicaid Awareness Month. Last summer, Rep. Ryan Mackenzie voted for the largest cuts to Medicaid in history to pay for bigger tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.

 

Medicaid provides health coverage to almost 3 million Pennsylvanians, including over 160,000 in PA-07.

These cuts will rip care away from over 300,000 Pennsylvanians, threaten 60,000 health care jobs across our Commonwealth, and put hospitals and nursing homes at risk of closure, leaving Pennsylvanians hours away from or without access to critical care. Local hospitals like St. Luke’s Easton and St. Luke’s Sacred Heart could be at risk of closure due to Medicaid cuts.

Now, Republicans in Congress are considering even deeper cuts to health care to boost military spending.

We call on Rep. Mackenzie to stop voting to cut our health care.
