Pennsylvania U.S. Congressmen Mackenzie, Bresnahan, and Perry Have Continually Backed Trump’s Tariffs Despite Rising Costs for Their Constituents

February 20, 2026

PENNSYLVANIA - Today, the Supreme Court ruled against Trump’s use of emergency powers to authorize tariffs that are raising prices on working families, small businesses, and consumers across the Commonwealth and the nation.

Despite their constituents shouldering most of the economic burden of these tariffs, Congressmen Ryan Mackenzie, Rob Bresnahan, and Scott Perry have continually supported Trump’s tariff power, voting multiple times over the last year to keep the president’s sweeping tariffs in place. Just last week, all three congressmen voted to ban all challenges related to tariffs until July and continue tariffs on Canada, Pennsylvania’s biggest international trade partner.

“As a small business owner in the Lehigh Valley, I am relieved the Supreme Court has issued this ruling. Manufacturers set the prices for our products, leaving our customers to pay a higher price for cameras, lenses and other accessories when costs go up. We strive to offer the lowest price possible to our customers, and tariffs only increase what we have to charge,” said Mike, co-owner of Dan’s Camera City in Allentown. “As a constituent of Congressman Mackenzie, I’m disappointed that he has taken every opportunity to support these extreme tariffs instead of fighting for lower costs. We need our representatives to stand up for our community and our small businesses.”

Affordable Pennsylvania has launched four ads focused on tariffs raising costs on Pennsylvanians as part of a $4 million accountability campaign across radio, TV, digital and print media. These ads highlight small business owners, community leaders, and constituents calling on their representatives to stand up to Trump and fight for lower costs. In December, Affordable Pennsylvania also launched billboards calling on Reps. Mackenzie, Bresnahan, and Perry to address tariffs that were contributing to rising holiday costs.
